Dan and Heather's wedding blog of funNo, the wedding was not Star Wars themed. We did have World of Warcraft cake toppers, though.

I love boobies!!

Greetings, Xangans from Lollerskates, #1337. Indeed, I do love my boobies, and I'm sure you know people who also love boobies. If you do, you may be interested to know that the Orange County Roller Girls are putting on a fundraising bout on May 26 against the Tucson Vice Squad to benefit the Breast Cancer Angels. Should you feel the desire to attend, please contact me--should you feel the desire to donate to the cause, please click the below button.

VIVA LA BOOBIES!!

I am no longer a roller derby virgin! After about a month and a half of learning to skate better, hit, duck, weave, and all sorts of things, I was in my first bout on St. Patrick's Day ^____^ We were playing a really, really good team, so we got spanked, but it was SO much fun! I'm actually staying home from work today though, because it hurts to sit down for more than 10 minutes (it seems my derby cherry was on my ass) :p

Here's an injury I got about two weeks ago--at first, I thought it was red paint because I fell on the red line. Not so much, it's a bunch of very small blood dots under my skin (it's still there!):

Here's me at my first bout, and the thought process (have I mentioned that I hate how I look without glasses on?  Contacts aren't fun):

And, here's after the bout, with two of the LA Derby Dolls, our coaches (they're so ruddy awesome!!):

I can't say how much I absolutely LOVE roller derby. It's ridiculously fun, the women are all amazing people, and it's great exercise.  Whooo!

And, for those who were wondering, our new condo is in Fountain Valley--it's a nice place to live : )

Let the bears pay the Bear Tax. I pay the Homer Tax.
That's the Home Owner Tax.

We have a condo : )

I came across a funny cartoon in a recent New Yorker, and I had to share it--and a few more I came across at Cartoon Bank--I'm sure we can all relate! Click the link for a whole slew of funny wedding-related cartoons (many are painfully true :p )

It's official--I am Lollerskates, #1337! If anyone in the OC area is interested, I have tickets for the February 17 bout:

Whether or not I'll be actively skating is up in the air, but you can bet your shiny metal ass I'll be there!
